The Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship is a three-year, ACGME-approved training program accredited by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The practice of pediatric critical care medicine has matured dramatically during the past decade. Our fellowship objectives are to: Train future leaders in neonatal medicine. Our program is housed at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, a private non-profit freestanding 336-bed children’s hospital initially established in 1910. The fellowship program accommodates up to seven fellows at any time. PICU Fellows’ Conference- The text, Fuhrman Pediatric Critical Care, 4 th Edition, is used as the basis for the curriculum for this conference, with the entire textbook reviewed over a 3-year period. Children's Hospital has a 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a 24-bed Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) that jointly admit over 2,000 children annually.. We offer up to five positions each year to applicants who have completed a US-based residency program in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics and are board-certified or board-eligible by the ABP.
